I use an realtek soundchip and Alsa versin 1.0.21. I have tested our idear with "alsactl store" and "alsactl restore" but it doesn't work. I think it is not an alsa mixer problem. I detected that I don't have to reboot the whole system, I only have to restart freevo. I think freevo holds in some way the sound dev because if I use mplayer from console all works fine. I had also made an diff from amixer when when the system works and an diff when not. But there are no differents. Do you have any other ideas?
