I have always found the LIRC remote with freevo rather annoying. It certain doesn't work anywhere near as smooth as a remote works with like a Cable TV box. It would be wonderful if the remote experience could be improved with Freevo. I just assumed that it was as good as could be given that the remote is so fundamental to the HTPC framework. It never even occurred to me that something might be wrong.
