Me too. But I look at it more as an academic exercise. I don't see the need
to emulate libraries to allow device drivers from linux and freebsd to think
they're running on the real thing. I need the real thing, as fast and
efficient as possible. I don't care to be able to mount Ext2 and FFS on the
same machine... it's a server and I run whatever will do the job.
LFS looks very nice. There's another distro which is very similar to LFS but
more supported.... I don't remember the name but you just have scripts that
download the packages from the net and compile *automagically*.
The difference is that this distro works and is supported and very
current....
