After much screwing around I have an Idea (that the air sucking noise you
all heard)
Im making the folling assumpstion:
the pregenerated skeleton
freevsd-skel.errata.generic-rh6.tar.bz2
is a no nonsense skel with nothing but apache in it i assume
ok we make a repository of often used rpms (php, mysql etc)
(php from http://rpms.arvin.dk/php/ ) thanks Ben
and write a script that lets you pick which rpms to install in your skel or
in any vs using the method describe in
http://www.freevsd.org/support/mail-archives/freevsd-support/2001/Mar/0315.h
tml
first would this actually be useful and secondly will it break things? Then
we could maintain a repository of selected rpms that have been tested to
work that admin could dl and install. so instead of 1000 how do you do mysql
posts its all in one place and we know it works? (now if i could just get my
php talking to mysql)
