I am in the process of filling in various sections in the docs, one of which
is use of mod_bind, but to get you going...
The mod_bind command set is to be used exclusively for talking to a BIND
nameserver on which freeVSD has been installed (no generation of skels or
virtual servers required, as no actual hosting takes place on the
nameserver(s)). Check out the available commands (vsdadm ?). A virtual
server would expect to use the following commands: bind_list, bind_add,
bind_delete, bind_modify, bind_get. However, none of these commands are
available for a given virtual server until the nameserver administrator has
allowed the virtual server to be registered using the bind_addvs command.
Before this registration takes place '-ERR Virtual Server does not exist'
errors will be produced. The bind_deletevs, bind_restorevs, and
bind_modifyvs also allow the virtual server information (as opposed to the
BIND configuration) held on the nameserver to be manipulated....
So, if you have a virtual server vsone, on hostone and want to control its
BIND entries on nameserverone you would register it with the following
command:
vsdadm bind_addvs nameserverone.domainone.net vsone 192.168.10.11 5
Where '5' is the maximum number of domain entries vsone may manage.
Once this has been done the bind_get, bind_add etc commands will be
available for vsone.
