Broken pipe errors mean VSD has fallen over in a fatal heap. You cannot get
a more informative error because it has exited abnormally - look in the
syslog to see what may have happened. If this doesn't help you may have to
increase the logging level. The required steps have been detailed on the
support/devel list previously - basicaly you need to add '-p local6 -l 4' to
the vsd entry in inetd.conf:
vsd stream tcp nowait root /usr/local/sbin/virtuald tcpd
/usr/local/sbin/vsd -p local6 -l 4
and configure a local6 facility in syslog.conf...
*.info;mail.none;news.none;authpriv.none;local6.* /var/log/messages
Don't forget to send -HUP to inetd and syslog. Then repeat your vsdadm
command and check the syslog.
