Hello all. I found out about FreeVSD when looking for, well, something
just like FreeVSD. :-) My boss thought it sounded great, and so here I am.
I downloaded freevsd-1.4.9-1rh7.i386.rpm, but when I try to install, I
get:
[root@vhost2 /temp]# rpm -ivh freevsd-1.4.9-1rh7.i386.rpm
error: failed dependencies:
libcrypto.so.1 is needed by freevsd-1.4.9-1rh7
libssl.so.1 is needed by freevsd-1.4.9-1rh7
So, I went to upgrade OpenSSL, thinking that would solve the problem. But,
when I try to upgrade that, I get:
[root@vhost2 /temp]# rpm -Uvh openssl-0.9.6-9.i386.rpm
error: failed dependencies:
libcrypto.so.0 is needed by ........
<12 more apps go here, all wanting libcrypto.so.0 - ed>
libssl.so.0 is needed by ........
<8 more apps go here, all wanting libssl.so.0 - ed>
OK, so now what? I could install --nodeps, but I want SSL support. What's
an admin to do?
Thanks.
