Exactly. A socket describes both an IP address and a port number. You're safe. It will work just fine. If this didn't work like this, apache wouldn't work, ftp wouldn't work, ssh wouldn't work, telnet wouldn't work, ... etc. You get the picture.

I will ask a question that perhaps is very stupid. :-) Well, imagine that I have 2 virtual servers, ok ? Each virtual server have its own IP address. So, if I am using a program that listen in 454354353 port and each virtual server have this same program instaled, what does happen? In each virtual server, this program will use the same port? Like this: Virtual server A = 233.233.233.01:454354353 Virtual server B = 233.233.233.02:454354353 ----- Thanks Ana ------------------------- The freeVSD Support List -------------------------- Subscribe: mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]?body=subscribe%20freevsd-support Unsubscribe: mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]?body=unsubscribe%20freevsd-support Archives: http://freevsd.org/support/mail-archives/freevsd-support ------------------------------------------------------------------------ ----- ------------------------- The freeVSD Support List -------------------------- Subscribe: mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]?body=subscribe%20freevsd-support Unsubscribe: mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]?body=unsubscribe%20freevsd-support Archives: http://freevsd.org/support/mail-archives/freevsd-support -----------------------------------------------------------------------------
