This is a resend as my last post didn't make it...... apologies to anyone
receiving it twice

Nick,

Even though I've not replied to this thread so far, I now feel compelled to
do so.

I offered support for developing docs (I submitted PDF and PS versions of
docs which were already available in text) and with the PHP admin scripts,
the offer of help with the docs was turned down, and the help with the PHP
scripts was encouraged and then dropped with no further communication from
Idaya on the matter (there were also concerns with regard to allowing me CVS
access)

I'm not saying that Idaya didn't have valid reasons, or that there wasn't
good grounds for their decision not to take up my offer of assitance. But my
point is that your sweeping generalisation you just made is inaccurate (but
then sweeping generalisations often are)

I know of at least 2 other people who have offered to help with FreeVSD, but
didn't offer the "right kind of help". Not everyone uses the list to
broadcast moans, others are happy to sit back, watch and wait.

I'm sure my case and that of the 2 others are unlikely to be
isolated?

Just my 2 Cents

Regards

T.
