Hi All! I finally got around to installing FreeVSD to look at things for myself. Again, after *actually* reading the doocumentation, I found the answers to some of my questions :-) For exaple, I know that you can "quota" both the number of users/emails that can be created on a VS, as well as the number of domains that can be added to one :-)
Anyway, I am having problems actually creating a virtual server. Let me first briefly go through my setup: Platform: Trustix 1.5 (based on RH6.2) FreeVSD version: 1.4.9-2RH6 Name of Hosting Server: aphrodite.domain.com (domain is, of course, no my real one, but will do for now) IP Address of Hosting Server: 192.168.2.2 Now, I wanted to create a virtual server called "apollo", on IP address 192.168.2.3. I issued the following command: vsdadm vs_create aphrodite zeus 192.168.2.3 zeus.domain.com 200 0 5 skel But I get the following error: ----- connection to aphrodite could not be established: Connection refused ----- I did a netstat -nl, and the server *is* listening on port 1725. I looked back on a thread that appeared in November with someone who had the same problem, but I never saw an ultimate solution posted. I also checked my /etc/inetd.conf file, and vsdadm is enabled, as is the inetd daemon. I also noticed an entry in idetd.con for svsdadm, but that program does not exist on the system anywhere. Will I have to re-install, or have I done something wrong? Actually, on my hosting server, I installed OpenSSL and OpenSSH as part of the "clean" install (i.e., before installing FreeVSD). Could this be partof the problem, or would this not have any effect at all? Thanx, in advance, for your help. -- ------------------------- The freeVSD Support List -------------------------- Subscribe: mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]?body=subscribe%20freevsd-support Unsubscribe: mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]?body=unsubscribe%20freevsd-support Archives: http://freevsd.org/support/mail-archives/freevsd-support -----------------------------------------------------------------------------
