Hello again, All! After doing a little looking around on my system, I realized that I only had the following entries in my /etc/hosts file:
----- 127.0.0.1 localhost 192.168.2.2 aphrodite.domain.com ----- In other words, just the default entry, with no alias for just simply "aphrodite". So I changed /etc/hosts to the following: ----- 127.0.0.1 localhost 192.168.2.2 aphrodite.domain.com aphrodite ----- And now when I issue the command to create a virtual server, it seems to be trying to create it, but after about a minute or so, it gives me a "Read timeout" error. Unfortunately, the search feture of the archives does not work, so i couldn' search to see if someone has had the same problem, but I'll keep looking. In the meantime, I appreciate any input from people who may have some ideas (or actualy knowledge) about what is wrong? Oh, one other thing... I looked in the /etc/vsd/vsd.conf file, and there was already a virtual server created: "aphrodite.domain.com" I assume that is standard (i.e., during setup a virtual server is created which is the same FQDN of the hosting server)? Thanx, in advance. I sure hope I can get this figured out without having to do a re-install (though it's a development server, so it's no big deal if a re-install is required!) -- ------------------------- The freeVSD Support List -------------------------- Subscribe: mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]?body=subscribe%20freevsd-support Unsubscribe: mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]?body=unsubscribe%20freevsd-support Archives: http://freevsd.org/support/mail-archives/freevsd-support -----------------------------------------------------------------------------
