I altered all mention of the IP address of the VS in the files in /etc/* but there was nothing in /etc/proftp.conf on the VS (I assume because /usr/sbin/virtuald on the host uses the info in /etc/vsd/vsd.conf on the host to determine which VS gets which FTP connection) > > > Apache and SSHd are both fine however. > > You have them running as inetd ? i can think of doing it with > sshd, but Apache only if thats a very low traffic web site. Last time it just seemed to hang and max out the CPU. I just tried again and got... Read timeout error: -ERR expected result but got nothing It seems to have changed /etc/FQDN on the VS but nothing else (it hasnt changed the IP in /etc/vsd/vsd.conf on the host or anything in /etc/hosts on the VS). Doing "hostname" on the VS now reports the changed FQDN, doing "hostname -i" hangs. Until this bug is fixed, please could someone tell me what files I need to change in order to change the IP and hostname of a VS? Is it just... ON HOST... /etc/vsd/vsd.conf ON VS... /etc/hosts /etc/FQDN /etc/httpd/conf/httpd.conf /etc/ssh/sshd_config (and other config files for various daemons) > > > I just created a new VS and it works fine! > > Seems to be some changes not made to the config files then or > tcpwrappers ? Possibly. But Im still struggling to find out whats wrong. :( > > Regards, > > P.S.: BTW, Ben long time ago you announced that the company > you work with > put some of their developers/human resources to generate > documentation about the FreeVSD system, is there > anything done yet ? > Please let me know. Unforuntately, apart from my FAQ, Fubra have not had time to work on any formalised documentation yet. :( > _______________________________________________________ > Urivan Saaib > Presidente > CiberNET Mexico > Email: [EMAIL PROTECTED] > Tel/Fax: +52 (646) 1757195 > > > ------------------------- The freeVSD Support List > -------------------------- > Subscribe: > mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]?body=subscribe%> 20freevsd-support > > Unsubscribe: > mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]?body=unsubscribe%20freevsd-support > Archives: http://freevsd.org/support/mail-archives/freevsd-support > -------------------------------------------------------------- > --------------- > --- Outgoing mail is certified Virus Free.
