I have 6.2-1 of the cd rom i think, i had more than 5 virtuals running. I would think 12 virtual servers would be no problem. >From what I gather you can have up to about 250. What matters is the utilization of the virtual servers, i bet out of 100 vs's, less than 10 would be taxing on the system.

I heard one php programmer joke about a client paying about $1200 a hit, because of the $$$ they paid for the website, and the lack of visitors. -Aubrey pacifix.net (coming soon to an Apache near you) ----- Original Message ----- From: "Tom Hodder" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Sent: Thursday, April 18, 2002 9:38 AM Subject: freeVSD CD ROM 6.2-2 > > Hi, > > I have the 2 freevsd cdroms from idaya (the redhat 6.2-2 version), and a > block of about 30 IP addresses, and a server with 1MHz P3, 512Mg Ram and 30 > Mgs hard drive space. > > How many virtual servers could I run on this machine, and can I administrate > all these virtual servers using the WIN32 applications that come on the > accompanying disk? > > I have already set a freevsd machine up with a couple of virtual servers on > it after installing the software, but have been hearing that the total limit > of virtual servers is 5 using this installation. > > I need to get about 12 virtual servers running to make this a viable effort. > > Thanks in advance for your help. > > Regards > > Tom > > > > > ------------------------- The freeVSD Support List -------------------------- > Subscribe: mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]?body=subscribe%20freevsd-support > Unsubscribe: mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]?body=unsubscribe%20freevsd-support > Archives: http://freevsd.org/support/mail-archives/freevsd-support > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- --- > ------------------------- The freeVSD Support List -------------------------- Subscribe: mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]?body=subscribe%20freevsd-support Unsubscribe: mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]?body=unsubscribe%20freevsd-support Archives: http://freevsd.org/support/mail-archives/freevsd-support -----------------------------------------------------------------------------
