John, been there done that :-)) I have webmin on for the owner of a VSD, but don't ask me for code, as my installation is *very* different from what freevsd used to be.
You need to start the webmin as a root user (/etc/rc.vsd). You need to configure webmin to bind on the IP address of the VS. You'll need to update the perl installation of the old freevsd skels.
