Just an idea, but I suggest you go to the vs directory (not using bevs, ie.
/home/vsd/vs/vsname/) - and in the etc directory, there is a file called
login.defs

Looking in that file, you could find about 1/2 way down, the settings
UID_MIN + MAX, and GID_MIN + MAX - make sure there are correct, ie, for the
min values, put 1200, and for the max values put 1399..

That is providing they are not that already :-)

Subject: vs_details reports uid=0

Hi all,

You know that VS that mod_bind managed to wreck for me? Well I am
trying to repair it and I have come against a problem....

I have restored the VS to its correct location (/home/vsd/vs/[vsname])
and then manually edited vsd.conf so that it was what it should be (
I think).

But now I get....

# bevs vsname
... and nothing happens.

# vsdadm vs_details host.server.fqdn vsname
name=vsname ip=111.222.111.222 uid=0 users=200 status=active quota=300
path="/home/vsd/" skel=skel prins=ns4.xxx secns=ned.xxx fqdn=xxxx.xxxx
ca=xxxxx

So why does it think that the uid=0 for this VS? I have "StartUID
1200" in vsd.conf for this VS.

:S
