Although configs don't differ too significantly, I agree with you. And as missing configuration options lead to problems (`make oldconfig` is run by mk/kernel-build.mk), I would suggest manually running `make oldconfig` after having changed the config. `oldconfig'-output should be the same as `config'-output, and nobody is forced to use UI's that better work for machines. ;) Greetings, Phil
