This is a good idea, as it resolves implicit dependencies between the kernel config provided by us and the choices of the user. I generally approve getting the kernel configuration more variable. I think it would be nice if we could have a minimal, device-specific kernel config and do the rest via kconfig-dependencies. > Everything is about choices.
