Hmmh, config seems correct, on my router I get with a similar config:

eth1 IEEE 802.11-DS ESSID:"test"
          Mode:Managed Frequency:2.462 GHz Tx-Power:19 dBm
          RTS thr=2347 B Fragment thr=2346 B
          Encryption key:off

Please do a "set -x" at the beginning of
/etc/network/if-pre-up.d/wireless-broadcom and post the output. Please
post also the output of "wl dump". Which router plattform are you using?
Seems that "wl ap 0" is not working for you.

wlist? I am not aware of this command. Which package?

Dirk
