This is what I hate most of the current situation, especially that an
image is deleted after changing the development platform...
I'd like to handle Images for different devices with a single source
tree quite like the other WRT guys ca do...
Otherwise I have keep my config files manually in sync to have similar
images for my devices which is annoying.

Yeah, but the other option might have been slightly faster than first
booting to failsafe and erasing manually. But ok.

Yes, maybe. But in this case I'd like to have an additional image file
with this script includes and one without it. I don't want to rebuild an
image just for this single script.
