Hmm, �9.52 for 24 months is less than half the cost of the PC, and that would
be depreciated somewhat over that time.
I guess they're hoping to recoup the cost on the interconnect fees - if
everyone spent 25-30 quid a month on phone calls I reckon they might break even
on the retail price of the PC (assuming they get half of the total cost of the
call).
If these free PCs are based on the interconnect fees, expect offers like this
to dry up sometime next year (24 months before the 2002 telecoms deregulation
date)
