Hi Owen; I'm thinking you mean to run Windows via the Parallels virtual machine within OS X. I would suggest XP Professional. Mainstream updates for Windows 2000 ceased in June 2005. XP Home is to be avoided. Windows Vista is too new, so I think that should be avoided. Anyway, you can't purchase Vista until Jan 2007 (though the beta RC1 is out now). I run Windows XP Professional SP2 within VMWARE under Linux (Gentoo) and once set-up properly it runs fine, that is of course dependent on what hardware one is using, but I know at least one person running XP Pro successfully under Parallels on a Macbook (Intel). You can get Windows XP Professional for $140 here; Microsoft Windows XP Professional With SP2B 1 Pack - OEM $139.99 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16832116059 Hope that helps. -Nick -- _ __ ____ ____ (_)____/ /__/ __/ / __ \/ / ___/ //_/ /_ / / / / / /__/ ,< / __/ /_/ /_/_/\___/_/|_/_/ Nicholas S.
