Good question. I would use that forum to discuss whether or not a
coffee shop could earn enough to pay the $10K rent each month. I guess
it's possible, if it could manage to sell 4,500 cappuccinos each month
and didn't pay the barrister... So, has there been any funding self-organizing (or flocking) activity for the center yet? ;-/ Doug Roberts, RTI International [EMAIL PROTECTED] [EMAIL PROTECTED] 505-455-7333 - Office 505-670-8195 - Cell Rich Murray wrote: Re: [FRIAM] my first post: Roy Wroth: Rich Murray: I welcome public sharing -- will follow path of least resistance -- don't require "reasons" for people's choices 2008.04.01Is there a public forum for discussing the financial challenges and opportunities of SFC? I'm just one guy, and I'm relying on the idea that a pattern will emerge from all of us. The things I think are a good fit are: warm, easy, welcoming, social atmosphere world Net democracy novel astrophysics in the Hubble Ultra Deep Field Fresh art gallery, especially on the walls The things I don't think fit are coffee shop/wifi open to the general public mirror, desk, couch, donation jar collaborative meditative explorations, vegan diet and toxins de jour Eckhart Tolle webcast Dance night I'm happy to share my reasoning on this, but for now will leave it open to other people's comments. I'd also like to see if Friam list serve is the right place for the discussion. Adjacent to it, I'd like to set up a mirror, desk, couch, and public access PC laptop (one of my spares), with a donation jar, and be available many lunchtimes and afternoons weekly, playing at my current explorations: world Net democracy, novel astrophysics in the Hubble Ultra Deep Field, collaborative meditative explorations, vegan diet and toxins de jour. I'd like to MC the remarkable 2-hour free "Net event" of Eckart Tolle with Oprah Winfrey, Monday nights, shared on a large projection screen. Another night could be Dance Free, along with Music Free jamming, donations accepted. ditto Theater Free. Impro, impro, impro. Fresh art gallery, especially on the walls, SFC takes 25% commission. !!!!!!?????
