Dear all: Our symposium proposal CAS and the Threshold Effect: Views from the Natural and Social Sciences <http://sites.google.com/site/complexadaptivesystems>has been approved. Registration is not yet open but we've just finalized the Call For Papers<http://sites.google.com/site/complexadaptivesystems/Home/symposium-details/call-for-papers>. (The webpage also has a pdf attachment suitable for printing out.)
The due date for paper and panel submissions is May 15th. Registration will begin in July/August, and the symposium will be held November 5 - 7, in Arlington, Virginia. Please pass this along to anyone whom you think may be interested. Even if you decide against submitting a paper, or if it's not accepted, there still will be plenty of reasons to attend. We expect to have some great speakers and interesting panel discussions, and will highlight a lot of student work as well. As always, email me if you have any questions or comments. Cheers, Ted
