One might conclude these folks are clearly from the Homo Ludens camp, given the 
apparent uselessness of the activity.   Nonetheless, a programming model that 
takes into account location of information in space may become relevant as 
memory systems get deeper and more complex.  “Move the compute to the data” 
takes on a more direct meaning with Befunge.   Looking to biology for 
inspiration, cells have spatial extent too.   I seem to remember not so long 
ago folks in this community were actually excited by cellular automata..  Ya 
know, complexity and all that..
