Martin Rubey (or anyone else using efricas),

Is there a quick "survival guide" or basic tutorial for how to use
efricas for someone (like me) who doesn't know much about emacs and
doesn't really want to learn much beyond basic editing? I just built
fricas from trunk and efricas looks much nicer than it did the last
time I tried it but I still find myself lost after a few basic steps.

For example. I started efricas and entered the commands

(1) -> )set output algebra off
(1) -> )set output tex on
(1) -> integrate(sin(sqrt(x)),x)

Things look nice, so now I want to save it. So I click File/Save As
and enter "test2" (enter). emacs complains that the file does not end
in new line.... Add one? So I click Yes and I get a message which
isn't very clear.

   Edit /home/wspage/test2.input to see the saved input lines.
   The saved history file is /home/wspage/test2.axh .

But I suppose that emacs also created a file called "test2" anyway?

Then I click File/Quit to exit. And now I want to start again with
the same file and get back to the same state I was in when I saved it.

I tried

 $ efricas test2

But I do not see the expected contents of the file. So I try File/Open
and select the file "test2". Now I guess I see what's in the file but
it doesn't look anything like it did before.

Any suggestions one how I can get past these flubbed steps and do
something useful with this? A basic How-To with a couple of examples
would be very useful to me.

Regards,
Bill Page.
