Well, if I were two... Basic help is obtained by pressing C-h m (that is ctrl-h, followed by m without ctrl). There, "M" is for "Meta", a key that is usually labelled "Alt" on current keyboards. > For example. Could you report emacs version number (press C-h C-a, i.e. Ctrl h then Ctrl a), lisp version, operating system. > Add one? Yes. It should. A hint: with efricas, it's much better if the filename you choose ends with ".fri", eg: test2.fri > Then I click File/Quit to exit. It should work to press M-x fricas-mode RET (that is: Alt x, then type "fricas-mode", then press return) > Any suggestions one how I can get past these flubbed steps and do > something useful with this? A basic How-To with a couple of examples > would be very useful to me. Loading and saving worksheets in fricas-mode depends on the save history facility in fricas, which is not very reliable, unfortunately. (eg., saving results of the guessing package is currently broken. However, Waldek provided a fix, which only needs testing. You'll find it on the mailing list.) Also, display of nicely typeset LaTeX is not as nice as it could be, because breqn wants reasonable LaTeX, which the domain TEX does not produce. (I wish it would, because breqn is really quite standard and well supported.)
