Looks OK. Note that GMP test is not perfect: we absolutely need
_shared_ GMP, but AFAIU the test will pass if only static GMP
is installed.
Was interesting to realize that the test as described at
AC_CHECK_LIB(gmp, __gmpz_init)
actually seemed to check for the .so file and did not even check
existence of gmp.h.
I'll investigate again and commit.
Is using autoconf 2.61 a problem for you? If yes I will
commit.
