AFAICS also MathML code uses precedences to decide if parentheses
are needed in the output -- I think any presentation format
will need them. I am not sure if Content MathML need parentheses,
theoretically structure of expression can be represented by
MathML tree...
Yes I was just lucky that it worked without thinking about it. I hope
to have a look at the OpenMath stuff in the near future to see if a
rewrite of MathMLFormat can be subsumed under that.
