Well, but it must be sourceforge itself since I usually surf with
javascript switched off.

1.0.1 is the latest (in fact the only) Debian package available.

Given that distribution neutral binaries work fine on Debian and
given small number of downloads of Debian package I am not sure if it
makes sense to provide newer packages.

Well, in fact the reason why I was looking at the SF site was to check whether FriCAS is provided in a .deb format. I thought, it would be a good idea to to add a section to the Makefile in order to produce a .deb file (or a script that does it). In fact, now I wonder whether you might already have such a script.

I somehow think that providing .deb binaries in order to free (debian/ubuntu) users from compiling fricas, is worth it to add a few megabytes to the SF download section. And if the compilation can be done automatically, it wouldn't cost must effort.

Somebody on the list who favours other downloadable formats?
