Yes I suppose, although it is definitely against my personal
philosophy ... :) It is irritating to have someone tell you that "this
is something you should not know about".  The distinction between
users and developers in Axiom is not very clear but I am very aware of
the negative attitude towards BOOT is some parts of the original Axiom
project.

This seems strange to me since I usually think of .input files as
"script" which is interpreted.  I suppose that this use of the word
"compiled" is a rather technical in relation to Lisp.
