My understanding is that this (undocumented) functionality existed in
the original open source version of Axiom. The only difference is that
in FriCAS the generated Lisp code is now compiled to binary where as
the original version only loaded it as interpreted Lisp. For testing
using interpreted Lisp probably does not matter (and might even be an
advantage for testing if you are willing to work at the Lisp level).
