Well, "the usual stuff", I do In-Tree build. In fact I did not change any commands since last working build. 0.) cd .../Fricas/ 1.) make clean 2.) ./configure --prefix=$HOME/Fricas --enable-aldor 3.) make Oh, yes, this seems to be the bug: make clean removes various "spad" files but these are now primary sources since the "pamphlet" files are gone.
