Abhinav would otherwise have come up with the right conversion in the first place. Because here you probably mean that for all r from R: L(r) = convertOp(L)(r) (for both directions L1->L3 and L3->L1). But as long as that is not specified that conversion is useless, because everyone would have to guess what it actually does in order to actually use it in some situation. Just my 2 cents.
