The plan is to address all of these weaknesses by producing a production
quality implementation of the RFC specified standard TCP
instrumentation. That implementation would be derived from the existing
Web100 code and targeted to be included in all Linux releases. We have
successfully done this once already with TCP autotuning, which was
prototyped under Web100, then fully integrated into Linux and is now
shipped in every operating system.
