Thanks for the links. It's fun to compare. I've noticed that font quality is one of those topics where people inexplicably disagree. I've thought for a while that linux renders in a way that's more pleasant to me when given high-quality fonts to start with, but you can fine people who will defend to the death the fact that Windows does better. Windows is "clean," "sharp," etc. I've finally decided that there are just people who like the "blurry" look of anti-aliasing and some who like the "clean" look of a renderer that uses hinting to eliminate most anti-aliasing. It used to drive me crazy that everyone didn't agree with me that Linux did a better job, but I've learned to accept it. :)
