Hi everyone,
Somehow new year and rang the new baby chord in my memory, and I realize I
forgot to tell you all the news from the south.  Chris, our sister city
staff person in San Salvador, recently became a mom!  She adopted a baby boy
a few weeks ago - in fact, just about one week after hearing about him, and
two days after he was born.  His name is Javier Alejandro.  I think it takes
some time for him to become officially legally hers, but they are family
now, and very happily so.  Katie had a great idea - that perhaps we could
put together a little delegation care package of baby things from Maine to
send down.  If you bring some simple, small, sweet or silly present to our
meeting on the 17th, we can pile them all into a box and send it down to la
mama y el bebe.
