I knew light was the major issue but since we were dealing with AB, and AB uses a dark bottle, I figured I'd have to go elsewhere. I know that one of the reasons that Sam Adams still doesn't use twist-off caps was because they can lead to beer going bad. From my own experience I've noticed temperature cycling *appears* to rush the skunk process - perhaps that's because of the cap too? Of course AB doesn't use the darkest, thickest bottle they could but then I'm not leaving my beer out in the sun either. Come to think of it, I've noticed this temperature thing on float trips - which means its canned beer! What besides light and a loose cap could cause an issue with canned beer?!! (I know beer generally tastes skunky out of a can to begin with - but it isn't THAT bad, and if you poor it into a pint glass its as tolerable as it is out of a keg) _______________________________________________ Fun and Misc security discussion for OT posts. https://linuxbox.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/funsec Note: funsec is a public and open mailing list.
