It's the only definition I'd ever seen. The Wikipedia page is much more informative. Based on that...I'd call this "reminiscent of haiku", or "after the style of haiku", or some such, which is really all I needed. My point is not so much about true haiku as it is about anything that compels thought. Even just requiring 5/7/5 syllables probably demands enough thought to improve matters. But, hm, let's see.
