Electrical power generation, Antibiotics, Antivirals, Modern Medicine, Air Conditioning, The Telephone, oh yeah, those computer thingies and this Internet we're talking on, to name but a few. We even invented the technologies that can reduce CO2 emissions: High capacity battery packs, lightweight electric motors, composite materials, solar panels and nuclear power generation.
Yeah, the US has worked out pretty well for the world. What has Europe invented since WWII? Your main contribution to the world for the last century has been war and various forms of despotic government, which the US had to save you from (Naziism/Fascism and Communism). Frankly, I think the us should simply leave Europe to be colonized by the Jihadis, and you can all go back to the dark ages. The conquest is already well established in France. If people need to have an imaginary friend to make it through the world and cope with their own mortality, so what? Most of them are better citizens, neighbors, and all round people than curmudgeonly atheist secular humanists; and in general less of a threat to humanity than deep ecologists. The theocrats of the left-enviro Gaia worshipers are the ones who are forcing people to do things that result in the deaths of millions a year. Even G.W. Bush's crusade (which I find equally noxious, BTW) has only managed a total of a few hundred thousand at the outside. It doesn't matter whether your religion has a personal god or not. It's still a religion, and you're trying to get it established in law. >-----Original Message----- >From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] >On Behalf Of Nick FitzGerald >Sent: Wednesday, July 22, 2009 8:00 PM >To: [email protected]; [email protected] >Subject: Re: [funsec] Rage against spammers and telemarketers > >Tomas L.
