Ay, he asked about *alternatives* to VSS, heh heh. My alternative sure
doesn't have many fancy features, but...
WinZip can be opened by anybody with WinZip
Client licenses are pretty cheap, free if you are a cheapskate
Archives are neatly stored in a single compressed file (duh!)
Restoring individual files or entire projects back to their original
locations is easy
