I only buy books when I'm not sure if a 3 day course is worth the �1200 they
ask over this side of the pond for an introduction to a topic :-) Plus it
makes a lovely Alarm clock stand. Will get round to it at some
point...honest.
Developors skim books, understand the concepts being written about, then
come back to those chapters they need when they are developing/designing. I
personally find that I don't want to remember all the nuances of Javascript,
HTML, SQL, IIS, CFML, DHTML DreamWeaver, Firweorks, CF Server & Studio, C++,
and ASP , to name but a few :-) in my head...It isn't big enough.
Admitting you can't know everything, is the first step to Gurudom...late
nights, pizza, coke and no hair.
