I thought you where talking about what a user was inputting, not what you
named your var.  I am not sure but I don't think that your allowed to use -
in your variable naming.  Would have to look it up, but don't have time
right now.  If your getting that input from the user then you could use the
method that I stated.  Otherwise, I would use the underscore in ALL my
naming conventions rather then a -.  Just my .02.  Sorry I did not see that
before now.
