If you really feel strongly about it, another way to do it is to have a directory for 
each type, and then drop the front end:

Instead of
        dsp_stock_list.cfm

Make it:
        display/stock_list.cfm

Of course, then, if the file is mis-placed for some reason, it is not easy to spot 
that it is not in the correct location, and know what basic function the file does.  
This would bother me, so I don't do it.
