That makes it a suffix.
I use suffixes to identify file =functionality=.
I too found it easier to keep a family of files together this way.

In other internal process areas, I use prefixes
to identify object or process =type=
This is consistent (mostly) with Stan Leszynski's methodology...

 a table in a database...  tblTableName
 a view (or "query" in MSAccess) in a database...   vueViewName
 a datasource... dsDatasourceName
 a query in a *.cfm page... qryQueryName
 a form in a *.cfm page...  frmFormName

...with thousands of object/process names floating across the screen
(often with redundant roots), it's
a relief to be able to look at any one name and instantly recognize what
it is.

In addition, I like to differentiate between subdirectories used for
circuit applications and those used exclusively for Fusebox processing by
placing an underscore prefix at the front of the standadrd Fusebox
subdirectories so that they "float to the top" of an alphebetized file
list...
_blocks
_content
_images  (note there may also be a circuit app called /images)
