Its not really the "old fashioned" way, its the CF Express way.

I mean, hey, if there is a sufficient interest in the Fusebox community, it
seems to me that somebody could construct a a CF Express Fusebox methodology
that takes advantage of everything Express has to offer while still staying
within the fusebox 'style'.

I mean, at its core, you've got the concept of the default file in a
subdirectory being the fusebox through which all circuits flow. That's a
concept that will work with anything. Consider if you will, the new Fusebox
book: On the cover it says "ColdFusion edition".  Now, you can just see,
"Cold Fusion Express edition", "PHP edition", "ASP edition". Different
development environments, same concept.
