There are some new presentation on fusebox.org, including one by me which
outlines the differences between tried-and-true Fusebox and Extended
Fusebox, which uses dot notation. Most importantly, though is Hal's site,
which contains an example application of dot notation as well as the rest of
the Extended Fusebox stuff like xfas, fusedocs, etc.
