Yes,
I can't say I use these myself, mainly because I have enough trouble already
convincing my team about the value of creating multiple files, each with 20
lines of comments and three lines of code.
I can certainly see the value, though, if the redirection URL is called in
several places, and if the actual destination is going to change. You only
have to change the destination in one single file. That, as far as I can
see, is the only sensible justification for using this style of redirection.
And it's a pretty good justification at that.
