nor are there any referential integrity constraints (ie foreign keys).  I
wouldn't touch mySQL with a ten foot pole at this point.  Consider the for
InterBase product Firebird at http://sourceforge.net/projects/firebird/ or
perhaps postgres.  I have been using Interbase for years and now am using
the Firebird version.  very very nice product.  To use with cf you'll need
an odbc driver.  easysoft's ($100) works very well.
