Dedicated Hosting refers to service where the entire resources of at least 1
server are dedicated to a single client or Web site. There is no way that
you are getting a dedicated server for $19.95 per month. What you are
getting here is shared hosting (also known as a "virtual server") where your
web site is hosted on a server along with many others. Often times there
could be 50 to 200 sites on a single server. Depending on the hardware
configuration, operating system and term of contract, a true dedicated
server will start out at about $150-200 per month with Linux. Add ColdFusion
and you can add another $50 a month on a 3 year term. Windows 2000 will
another $40 per month. RAID and more disk space will increase the cost
proportionally. It might be wise when asking about this sort of service to
indicate your requirements including OS, RAM, Disk Space, Database, etc so
that an accurate quote can be generated.

We have clients paying between $450 and $800 per month depending on their
configuration. If you purchase the equipment and software outright, you are
looking at $272.50 including management and bandwidth charges + rack space
rental at $30 per space.

I'm with ABIhosting, (www.abihosting.com), it's quick to set up, lots of
features (CF, SQL7), and cheap at $19.95 per month!
