I can smell the smoldering embers of the same thing burning where I work.
There is this sort of snotty "well, hah, that CF stuff might be okay for
small things, but for an EnTeRpRiSe solution, you need Oracle!", or
similarly, "yes, MS SQL is fine for small things, but for an EnTeRpRiSe, you
need Oracle!"
WHAT BALONEY!
I think it comes from a classic case of "The last place I worked had {fill
in the blank} so therefore it must be right, and everybody here must be
idiots."
Or, even worse, a big case of:
"I was in the dentist's office, and there was a copy of Forbes, and I was
reading an article on the New Economy, and the person mentioned Oracle. So
therefore..."
